High school sweethearts turned teenage newlyweds, parents, business partners, and eventually, founders of a creative agency neither of them exactly planned on building.
Katie and Tyson Garwood have spent most of their lives growing up together, building a family together, and figuring things out as they went. That same slightly unconventional approach eventually became the foundation for One Eleven Group.
Katie is the strategist, creative director, and big-idea person. She sees the story behind a brand, the opportunity no one is paying attention to yet, and approximately seventeen ways to make it bigger.
Tyson is the visual storyteller. Behind the camera, he turns those ideas into something you can see, feel, and remember through photography, film, and content that never feels overly manufactured.
Their strengths are different. Their standards are not.
Together, they built One Eleven Group while raising their two kids, learning in real time, taking the risks that made sense to them, and ignoring quite a few of the rules about how you're “supposed” to build a business.
There was no perfectly mapped-out career path that led here. No master plan. Just two people who have always been willing to bet on each other, trust their instincts, and build the thing they couldn't find anywhere else.
That philosophy still shapes One Eleven today.
Katie sees what something could become. Tyson knows how to capture it. And after all these years, they're still building it together.
